Concert Attendance Guide

Step 1: Go to 5 concerts and collect 5 programs and/or tickets (for Seattle Symphony concerts collect tickets, for all other concerts - including UW concerts - collect programs). At the end of all UW School of Music concerts there will be an usher that will sign your programs. When you submit your programs to Nicole, all programs from School of Music programs must have this signature for them to count for credit.




Step 2: Bring your materials to Nicole to sign them (as she signs them, she will record your score for the assignment in her gradebook) by Wednesday, December 11, 2013, before 9:00AM. When you submit your materials, she will ask you 3 questions about your concert experience for the School of Music concerts. In order to receive credit for the concerts, you must have informed responses to these questions. You will not receive credit if you cannot demonstrate active attendance at these concerts. Example questions may include, but are not limited to:
How large was the group on stage?
Was there any point in which someone spoke to the audience?
During the multi-movement piece did the music stop? Or was it continuous?
During the fanfare, who was playing?

P.S. You can only submit your materials once. Nicole will not take programs throughout the quarter as you obtain programs.
