Last year we allowed a special extra concert involving UW students. This year, we are doing it again and we are offering the same incentive: twice the amount of extra credit for this concert (4 points instead of 2)! The concert is Winds for Hope: Tomodachi through Music, and Proceeds go to replace musical instruments for Japanese students affected by the Tohoku Earthquake-Tsunami. This concert is on March 11, 2012 at 7:30PM at Benarroya Hall in downtown Seattle (200 University St, Seattle, WA). There are plenty of buses that can take you a block away from the hall that leave the University district and there is also parking available in the building (for a fee, of course). Student ticket prices will be available tomorrow only!!! You will need to bring $15 CASH to class. Tickets will be sold after the lecture. This concert happens the day before your extra credit is due. If you buy your tickets now, you will save $10. However, if you would rather wait, you can purchase tickets online for $25 until the show is sold out (which it will be soon). Please email me if you have any questions. I hope to see many of you with cash in hand to purchase tickets for this concert tomorrow. Here is the website for the event if you want more details: http://windsforhope.org/
See you in class tomorrow!
